We are excited to announce our new Branch Manager for Henty & District Community Bank is Steph Knust (Bedggood).

We sat down with Steph to ask a few questions so the community can get to know her even better:

How long have you been employed at Henty & District Community Bank? I’ve been with the bank for 10 years joining as a Trainee Customer Service Officer in 2016.

Can you tell us a bit about your journey in banking? Over the last 10 years, I’ve progressed from a Teller, Personal Banker, Home Lending Specialist and have now taken on the Branch Manager’s role.

What was your first job, and what did it teach you? My first job was a barmaid at the Doodle Cooma Arms Hotel. Working at the local pub taught me a lot of communication & customer service skills that I still rely on everyday in the bank.

What’s your go-to local café order? Gluten Free Lemon Slice from the Henty Bakery

What’s been your favourite holiday destination? New Zealand! I went there in April this year for my wedding & absolutely loved the Queenstown area. I can’t wait to go back!

And lastly- when you’re not in the branch where will we find you? On weekends, you’ll find me relaxing at home, taking my daughter for a walk to the park, or out at my parent’s farm in Henty.

A new $2.3 million project is happening in Henty that will expand on a community-led vision of care for the region.

Community Bank Henty & District are proud to be supporting Henty Respite Trust in their new plans to build four two-bedroom units in Rosler Parade. These units aim to provide further accommodation options for people with a disability, as well as essential health workers in the district.

Member for Albury Mr Justin Clancy said Henty’s efforts could well be a model replicated by other rural and regional communities.

We are very grateful to have so many generous & supportive community members who have gotten on board for this project and we are so excited to see the positive impact it has for our local residents.
