Some clients refer a friend.

Sanju Reddy introduced us to a community.

The man behind Jobadda has spent years helping migrants build careers in IT - and we’ve had the privilege of looking after him, his family and so many of his friends he has sent our way.

So when he chose to put our name behind this beautiful cultural event, it meant more than sponsorship.

It meant trust.

Sanju, thank you for believing in what we do and for wanting your community looked after just as well.

If protecting your family has been sitting on your list, perhaps this is your sign to start the conversation.

“I have life insurance through my super.”

That answer sounds reassuring—until you check the actual number.

VJ had built a property portfolio worth millions, with more than $2 million in loans. But his life cover was less than $300,000. He had insurance. He just didn’t have enough insurance to protect everything he had worked so hard to build.

Because if something happened to him, the gap wouldn’t disappear. His wife, who wasn’t currently working, could be left with significant debt, ongoing mortgage repayments and some incredibly difficult decisions. Possibly even selling the family home.

That’s why the right question isn’t simply:
“Do I have life insurance?”

It’s:
“Would the amount I have actually protect my family, clear the right debts and help them maintain the life we’ve built?”

Your number shouldn’t be random. It should reflect your debts, income, family responsibilities and the future you want to protect.

Do you know your number—or are you assuming the cover inside your super is enough?

I think a lot of immigrant families will relate to this.

For years, the focus becomes:
get PR, buy the house, pay off the mortgage, grow the business, give the kids better opportunities.

And honestly… there’s so much beauty in that sacrifice.

But somewhere along the way, many people become so focused on building the future that they forget to protect it too.

I’ve seen families with multiple properties, successful businesses, high incomes… but no real plan if health changed, income stopped, or life took an unexpected turn.

Real peace doesn’t only come from growth.
It comes from knowing your family, lifestyle, and everything you built won’t collapse overnight if something happens.

We spend decades building the dream.
Protection is what helps keep it alive. 🤍

Most people don’t have an insurance problem.

They have a clarity problem.

They’ve bought something at some point…
but never stopped to ask:

“Is this actually enough for the life I’ve built?”

Because insurance isn’t about the policy.
It’s about the outcome.

If something happens—
does everything you’ve worked for stay intact?

That’s the only question that matters.

If you want the framework I use to figure this out properly:

If you have an Australian Super account, check this

AustralianSuper has announced increases to insurance costs for many insured members from 30 May 2026. Key changes include:

• Life Cover: ~ 20% increase

• TPD (Total & Permanent Disability): ~ 40% increase on average

• Income Protection: up to 38% increase

AustralianSuper says this is largely being driven by rising claims costs, particularly increasing mental health and disability claims across the industry.

If you’re with AustralianSuper (or any super fund) and haven’t reviewed your cover in a while…it may be worth checking what you have, what it costs, and whether it still fits your family.

If you’d like a hand understanding your cover or reviewing your options, happy to help :)
