Fore! ⛳🎉

Our BG Connect crew hit What The Putt in Brunswick on Friday night for food, drinks and 18 holes of mini golf, with the 19th hole at the bar, of course.

We had a fantastic turnout, some familiar faces spinning the DJ decks, and plenty of friendly competition on both the golf course and the pool table. Most of all, it was a great chance to relax, have a laugh and enjoy each other's company.

If your trust nominated a beneficiary for land tax purposes back in 2006, it might be worth another look.

Nominating a beneficiary let trusts avoid the land tax surcharge on their existing holdings - but it also ties the beneficiary's own land tax to the trust's landholdings. That's fine if nothing's changed since 2006. But if the nominated beneficiary has since bought property in their own name, the numbers can flip: what used to save tax can end up costing more than doing nothing at all.
