It seems that Putin will run Sham Referendums in Russian occupied eastern territory of Ukraine. This will then enable him to accuse the Ukraine and the west of attacking Russia. Crimea will along with the occupied areas of Ukraine will become Russia. Any attack by Ukraine into these territories can then be claimed by Putin as an attack on Russia. This will then allow Russia to declare that they are now defending and not the aggressor. This will allow them to claim they are defending Russia from Ukraine and NATO aggression legitimising them to use WOMD (weapons of mass destruction). It is time the west reminds Putin and the Russian people that the west will not allow Russia or any other Aggressor to use WOMD and will respond.
