Dear DRB Crew,

After careful consideration, I have made the difficult decision to step back from the day-to-day operations of 'Derek Rucker Basketball - DRB' in Queensland for the foreseeable future.

A few months ago, I came to the realisation that I needed to take some time for myself away from the day-to-day responsibilities of coaching. While this was not an easy decision, I believe it was and remains the right one for me at this stage of my life.

As a result, I did not resume the regular DRB session schedule in Brisbane during this NBL off-season. I recognise that this has impacted clients who had expected sessions to continue and I sincerely apologise for any inconvenience, disappointment or uncertainty this change may have caused.

I would like to sincerely thank every player, parent, corporate partner and family who has supported DRB over the past 10 years. It has been an absolute privilege to share my passion for the game with so many dedicated and inspiring individuals.

For clients with outstanding sessions or bookings, I will be contacting each of you personally over the coming weeks to discuss the available options and ensure that everyone is treated fairly and appropriately during this transition.

At this time, I am unsure what the future holds for DRB but I felt it was important that you hear this directly from me.
