Why I Started DeBoss.
I was working as a CFO when I saw a problem nobody was solving. Sub-contractors were drowning in paperwork. They had the skills, the hustle, the drive to build incredible businesses, but the admin was killing them. I remember thinking: there has to be a better way.
So I became a bookkeeper. Not because I wanted to be a bookkeeper, but because I wanted to solve that problem. I wanted to give tradies and small business owners their time back. I wanted them to focus on what they do best while I handled the numbers.
36 years later, that's still exactly what I do. I've worked with builders, landscapers, plumbers, cafes, disability support services, and dozens of other industries. And the best part? Many of those clients are still with me. Some for 10, 12, even 15 years.
That's not luck. That's trust. That's becoming part of someone's business, not just a service provider.
