It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Laurel Cottone, on Wednesday, 5 January 2022.

As a director on our Board, Laurel gave 14 years of dedicated service to the Babinda Community Bank. Through, teaching & volunteer roles Laurel gave 50 plus years to the Babinda community.

On behalf of the Babinda Community Bank Board & Staff, we give our heartfelt condolences to her loving family.

LAUREN THANKS BENDIGO BANK
At the beginning of the year, I was gifted with the Community Enterprise Foundation 2021 Gordonvale Business Centre High School Scholarship from the Babinda Community Bendigo Bank. I am very appreciative that my achievements and academic accomplishments have been recognised through this scholarship.
Since being gifted with this, I have been able to pursue my school studies and ensure the continuation of my education. With the money I was able to purchase a new computer, general school supplies, and my school fees were taken care of.
Bendigo Bank has provided me with the opportunity to focus on my education and allowed me to maintain my high levels of achievement while not stressing about finding money to use for school purposes.
I have been able to develop a healthy time management balance and been able to cope with the pressures of Year 11. I am very proud to be the recipient of this scholarship and realise that this is an incredibly helpful thing that Bendigo Bank has done for me.
