When I first decided to write a book, people naturally asked what it was about. The answer seemed obvious at first. After all, I'd spent years working in banking, finance and business. But the more I thought about it, the more I realised the book wasn't really about money at all, at least not in the way most people expect.
So what is Where Did All the Money Go? really about?

Money leaves clues.
Most financial outcomes aren't the result of one big decision. They're the accumulation of hundreds of smaller choices made over months and years.

But simply identifying those choices isn't enough.

Where Did All The Money Go? isn't about telling people to stop buying coffee, cancel every subscription or eliminate everything they enjoy. Those things might change the numbers, but numbers are only part of the story. The more interesting question is what sits behind our financial decisions. Habit. Convenience. Reward. Social expectations. Lifestyle creep. The stories we tell ourselves about what we can afford and what we deserve.

You can change a budget overnight. Changing the behaviour that created it takes understanding.

That's why the trail matters.

Your money didn't simply disappear. It left clues. And understanding those clues can change where it goes next.

Where Did All The Money Go?
How to take control of your money and finally get ahead.

Most of us have money that spends at least some of its life waiting. Your salary arrives before the mortgage payment is due. Money accumulates for rates, insurance or a holiday. There might be an emergency fund sitting there that you hope you won't need. Or perhaps you are simply building up savings over time. An offset account can give that money something useful to do while it waits.

Your money didn't just disappear.

It went somewhere.

Some of it went where you intended.
Some of it probably didn't.

And some of it disappeared so gradually you barely noticed it happening.

Where Did All The Money Go? isn't about giving up coffee or feeling guilty about what you've spent.

It's about understanding the decisions, habits and behaviours behind your money — and building a better way forward.

Maybe it's time to investigate. https://jaeneen.etairosfinance.com.au/product-page/where-did-all-the-money-go

Most people don't struggle with money because they lack intelligence.

They struggle because money decisions are shaped by habits, emotions, convenience, social expectations and invisible behavioural patterns that almost nobody teaches us to recognise.

you're not alone.

Where Did All The Money Go? isn't another budgeting book. It's a practical guide to understanding why smart, capable people can still feel like they're running harder without getting further.

One of the things we've learned over the past three decades is that lending is rarely just about finance. Behind every loan application is a family, a business, a first home, a difficult conversation, a new beginning or a long-held dream.

That's why we believe experience isn't simply knowing which lender to choose. It's knowing how to guide people through decisions that can shape their lives for years to come.

Thank you to every client who has trusted us to be part of that journey.
