This week the Australian Rail Track Corporation (ARTC) has awarded a $30 million contract for significant sections of the Inland Rail.
The winning contractor, Arcadis Australia Pacific, has been tasked with delivering the design and implementation of rail signalling systems from concept through to final commission for the Inland Rail.
Arcadis will be responsible for the signalling and signalling civil design from Illabo in New South Wales through to Acacia Ridge and Bromelton in Queensland.
To design and deliver the rail signalling systems, Arcadis will need to use regional resources in Bathurst, Orange and Mudgee.
In fact, the multi-million-dollar contract will create up to 80 regional jobs in New South Wales. Local residents are encouraged to apply for these regional positions working with Arcadis over the next six years.
This major contract is just one of more than 1,000 contracts already awarded as part of the Inland Rail project.

This threshold increase to $150,000 brings larger equipment within scope of this incentive package, bringing the significant cashflow benefit of an immediate deduction at the company tax rate (circa 30%) for purchases made until 30 June 2020.

The increased instant asset write-off threshold applies from the time of the announcement until 30 June 2020, for new or SECOND HAD assets first used or installed ready for use in this timeframe.

Ok I have just learnt that I am not as smart as I thought! Ha!. I have been updating my Computer systems for all the New lender Requirements, Really what a mess!. Yesterday I was online inputting a very Large Finance application, Normal stuff, must be done yesterday,3 # Companies ,trust etc etc.
I was getting frustrated with the System and I kept getting error messages and then this! This system is user friendly, so stupid read what I have printed on your screen and follow the prompted QUESTIONS!. seriously how many times do I have to suffer you fools!.
Ha welcome to the new computer age?

• Did you know that Major Bank Reforms will see staff Bonus Paid on Sales of Products;
• Banning variable reward payments and campaign-related incentives to retail bank staff that are directly related to sales or the achievement of sales targets
• Where incentives are paid, they should be based on a range of factors that reflect the breath of the responsibilities of each role, such as quality of service and customer outcomes
• Incentives paid should not be based on the type of product that is sold but rather on the time taken by staff to process an application for a customer
• Creating a workplace culture and leadership structure that focuses on the interests of customers
In an update report released this week stated “substantial progress has been made to delink sales directly to reward for front-line staff”, including for home lenders.
Iin 2018 four banks continued to measure variable remuneration based on at least one financial element of a scorecard in isolation from the other elements.

A recent report has said.
"ASIC questions Major Bank, that the bank had “a lack of understanding of its obligations and did not properly appreciate the gravity of its failures to comply with those obligations”, adding that such failures led to contraventions of the anti-money laundering laws.
Last June, the Federal Court approved a settlement that would require the bank to a pay a civil penalty of $700 million after it admitted to contraventions of Australia’s Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing (AML/CTF) Act 2006, including contraventions in risk procedures, reporting, monitoring and customer due diligence."

The RBA has determined the official cash rate for March, following its monthly monetary policy board meeting.

Cash rate inertia has continued with the Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) holding the official cash rate at a record-low of 1.5 per cent.

It has been two and a half years (August 2016) since the RBA last made a monetary policy adjustment.

The Boss(Dad) win another award! Mick has worked for over 65 years in Nerang and given to the Community as well. The Councill should name a Park and some streets after him. Especially where the Maid of Skur (the Boat) is, as this was out home when I was a Kid and Mick's Motors.
