Back in September 2022, these first home buyers weren't ready to purchase—but they were ready to start planning.

PAYING UP TO 3% TOO MUCH?

It's scary to think that plenty of borrowers are paying the standard variable rate with their Lender when it's now well above 8% with many of them.

These lenders rely on the huge profit margins from those who don't question their offer so that they can in turn offer highly discounted rates to new borrowers.

In the example below, this Bank is offering 5.59% to new borrowers (and that's without me even haggling for a better rate) whilst those loyal to them could be paying up to 2.99% more.

Now is NOT the time to be loyal to your Lender as most are showing no loyalty to you.

FAVOURITE LENDERS??? When meeting a client for the first time, I'm often asked if I just use the same few lenders for all my clients.

When it comes to Mortgage Broking, it's not my job to have a few favourites. It's actually my job to recommend the lender that is most suited to your particular goals and circumstances.

I always put my clients needs first and I'm proud to say that for my last 25 loans settled, I have used 18 different lenders.

Some lenders are certainly much easier to deal with than others but I wouldn't be doing my job if I just took the path that was easiest for me - it's all about your needs.

WOULD A RATE CUT BE BETTER?

While the RBA rate increase of 0.25% was not unexpected, this increase and future increases will hurt the pockets of hundreds of thousands of mortgage holders.
