Unshakable confidence is the sense of certainty we all want. The only way you can consistently experience confidence, even in unfamiliar environments, is through the power of faith. Having faith/belief in yourself and your own abilities is the key to self-confidence.

When you’re confident, you’re willing to experiment, to put yourself on the line. One way to develop faith and confidence is simply to practice using them. If I were to ask whether you’re confident that you can tie your own shoes, I’m sure you could tell me with perfect confidence that you can. Why? Because you’ve practiced it thousands of times! So, practice confidence by using it consistently, and you’ll be amazed at the results.

In every moment you have the power to choose confidence over fear. Many people live their lives avoiding things because they are afraid. Just like fear, confidence only a feeling! It’s created when the soul and the spirit connect. When you feel confident, you are in harmony with the Universe.

We have all been around confident people and it is like you can actually see it exuding from them. That is because it generates a non-physical aura which captures the conscious attention of everyone in your presence, and people admire it. Paul J Meyer once said “All of the truly successful people I have ever known had one quality or characteristic in common; a high degree of personal self- confidence and a healthy self-image.”

Confidence can also help to demonstrate leadership which is another trait of highly successful people. It sets off a vibration which causes others to trust your ability. It instills in them a feeling of safety when following your lead. Everyone has confidence within them; it is up to you whether you choose to demonstrate it. But it is absolutely essential if you are going to lead a totally free life, as it gives you the assurance to live your heart’s deepest desires.

Confidence is feeling at home with yourself, it is time to make best friends with YOU! Know that you are good enough—that you are better than good enough! Every morning when you wake up, go to that place within yourself and connect and prepare for the day:

Quick tips to practice:

Check your self-image—see yourself as bright, shiny and amazing

Develop your strengths and manage your weaknesses

Look for the good in everyone- especially yourself

Understand that confidence is the key to all achievement. It reinforces ability, doubles energy, expands mental facilities, and increases your personal power

Practice making eye contact—how a person uses their eyes says a lot about their confidence

Speak up, find your voice and dare to be heard

Smile big—a smile is excellent medicine for confidence deficiency

What State of Consciousness Are You In? 🤩

Roy discusses the importance of state, that is, the state of consciousness that you are. 😶😶

You'll be checking on your state, on your focus, how certain are you? How certain are you in your relationship? How certain are you in your job? How certain are you with your money? How certain are you with respect to your health and wellbeing? And that certainty will actually be a huge issue for the state that you live in, the consciousness that you are, the focus that you are.

A new month begins today and so does another 31 beautiful opportunities to make change in our lives. Here at OneLife we set monthly goals on the first day of every month. These are some examples of some of our simple goals for August (when we actually write these down for ourselves, we write them out in great detail in the future tense, imagining we have already achieved these goals, and setting ourselves up for success). For example "I am so happy I have read 2 books this month that have inspired a sense of growth and renewed purpose in my life."

What are your goals for this month?

Living life holistically is about caring for the health of your whole being - body, mind, heart and soul. By paying equal attention to each of these parts of your life and nurturing them as much as you can, you can create a true sense of balance in your life, as well as creating optimal health and happiness.

Sometimes we can focus on a specific area and neglect some of the others. University students might be focusing on their mind, while their body and soul might suffer. So how can we bring it all together and create the ideal balance?

Nourish your MIND

Stress less

Nourish your mind by alleviating stress, take time to relax and practice mindfulness, do something creative each day, spend time with ones you cherish, be in a job environment that uses your talents and strengths, and practice wise money management.

Positive self- talk

We can either be masters or victims of our self-talk. We are where we are and who we are because of the thoughts that dominate our minds. If you believe and often make statements like “That’s impossible” or “I can’t” then that will be the result. Next time you catch yourself saying “I can’t”, turn around and challenge your own claim by asking yourself “Why can’t I?

Fill your HEART

Practice Gratitude

Count your blessings or thank your lucky stars every single day. When you wake up in the morning take a few moments to think of all of things you are grateful for, think of the people you love and the people that love you. A heart that is full of gratitude has no room for want. What are your blessings?

Love is all you need

Love deeply without expecting anything in return. Love and treat others in a way that you would want to be loved and treated. One of the best ways to show love is by giving people your time, by listening, and having an open heart and allow others to do the same for you. Remember that self-love is equally important.

Soothe your SOUL

Meditation

Meditation is essentially the practice of mindfulness and will help you become aware of your thoughts, gain clarity, inner peace and stillness. Meditation has been proven to alter consciousness and in turn our cellular composition. By embracing meditation and undergoing guided visualisations you can start creating and manifesting your dreams and experiencing a greater sense of peace.

Self-Awareness

Being self-aware is the process of becoming aware of our habits, patterns, thoughts, feelings, words, actions, attitudes, limiting beliefs, doubts and fears to attain “witness consciousness”. When we start observing how all of this rules our lives, personalities, behaviours and actually creates our reality, we can call forth change by letting go of anything that no longer serves us to reach our full potential.

Love your BODY

Spice it up

It's easy to get in a rut with healthy eating and this might be when we get tired of making healthy eating choices. Even if you're loading lots of delicious fruits and veggies, sometimes you can feel a little unsatisfied. Add some new flavours to your everyday eating by experimenting with plenty of spices, fresh herbs, and lemons. It's amazing what a little dash of spice, sprinkle of herbs, pinch of lemon zest, or sq**rt of lime juice can do to create excitement on your plate.

Move more

The more you move the better your body will feel. Exercise boosts your heart health, builds muscle and bone strength, boosts immunity, creates endorphins (happy hormones). Aim to move a little each and every day. Take a brisk walk, have a dance while doing the house work. If you're busy, try short bursts of activity throughout the day, like taking the stairs or parking a little further away from your destination.
