The Federal Budget dropped last night and social media is… a lot right now😅

In amongst all the content and headline these are three things we think are worth remembering right now:

**1. This is completely out of your control at this moment**
Sitting in panic or doom-scrolling through hot takes won't change a single line of it. Redirect that energy toward the things that are actually within your reach.

**2. Social media is not your financial adviser**
Every person's situation is different, and a headline doesn't know your goals, your structure, or your life. If you're genuinely unsure how any of this affects you, reach out to the people who do. Your broker, your accountant, your financial adviser. We're open for chats, and we have some epic people in our corner we can connect you with too.

**3. Your goals haven't changed**
The budget is new. What you're working toward isn't. Whether that's buying a home, growing your business, or building your financial future, stay the course. Calm and consistent almost always wins.

We're here if you want to talk through what any of this actually means for you!

❗There has been some big news for First Home Buyers this week who are looking to buy in Queensland!

The Queensland Government has increased the threshold for it's Stamp Duty Concession - meaning your Stamp Duty will be completely scrapped for purchases up to the value of $700,000.00 instead of the previous $500,000.00

This increase could see you saving over $17,000.00 when buying an established house, apartment or townhouse.

Couple this concession with the Federal Government’s First Home Guarantee and you can save another $20,000.00 in Lenders Mortgage Insurance!

Now is the perfect time to have a chat and create a plan in getting yourself (or someone you know) into your first home.

Call or email Jamie now or tag someone you know to be fully supported through the guarantee and claim your new stamp duty concession!

💰 Are you like the many at the moment who are looking for some easy ways to save money?
We have put together some of our money saving tips that are nice and easy and you can start right now:

📌 Set a savings goal – know exactly what you’re saving for
📌 Have a savings plan – work out how much you’ll need & how long it will take to reach your savings goal
📌 Automate your savings – take the thinking out of it and set up a regular transfer to automatically grow your savings each week
📌 Consolidate your debt – it might not mean money in the bank today, but by reducing your debt and lowering your interest will save you money in the long run
📌 Refinance your home loan – shop around for a better deal on your home loan
📌 Cancel automatic subscriptions and memberships – do you need Netflix and Stan? If you don’t use it, it’s time to lose it.
📌 Reduce your spending – look at your bills and seek out cheaper alternatives or better deals.
📌 Shop smarter – find ways to save on your grocery shop (think buying generic, buying in bulk, stick to a shopping list and stocking up on regular-use items when they’re on special)

🏡 We chatted earlier this month about why you might look to refinance your home loan at the moment and we spoke about how one of the biggest reasons why people are refinancing at the moment is to save money on repayments and access a cheaper interest rate.

Today we wanted to show you just what a 1% difference in your interest rate could like for your savings.

Essentially a 1% difference could save you:
💰$83/week
💰 $363/month
💰$4,316/year
💰$107,000 over the life of the loan

💬Imagine pocketed that money back into your budget - how would that help you?

📞 Its always the perfect time to chat refinance and we are here to chat about what a refinance can you like for you at any time!

⁉️ We recently posted about how interest rates have to rise to combat the inflation our Australian Economy is currently facing and you guys have been asking what inflation is itself.

We thought we would put together a couple points to help explain all about what Inflation is:

📍Inflation relates to the costs of a collection of goods and services
📍In a high inflation environment the cost of goods & services is more expensive
📍In a low inflation environment the cost of goods & services is cheaper
📍Inflation is bad of good - it just is - something that is needed in the economy
📍Inflation is inherently linking to the economy
📍High growth in the economy = higher inflation
📍Low growth in the economy = lower inflation
📍Each economy has it’s own inflation targets that try to hit/maintain
📍Monetary Policy & Fiscal Policy is what is used to help influence inflation

💬 Let us know if this list helps explain what inflation is for you and if there is anything else we can try and explain next

💰We thought we would kick off by chatting about something we hear all the time; "yeh cool, but where do I even start"

You name the topic of conversation; saving for a house, a new car or a holiday, in can be overwhelming to know where to begin.

Truthfully we don't have to overthink it and in most cases we definitely don't have to do anything overly big and crazy drastic.

Start with these:

🪙 Reduce your current debt where possible. This could mean paying down a personal loan or a credit card, but can even look like paying out the balance on your Afterpay account

🪙 Start growing an emergency funds savings account. It doesn't need to be big, you may start with $20 a week, the key is just to start - with interest it is only going to grow

🪙 Start learning about the different ways you can invest money. Read articles online and seek advise from professionals, and if it sounds like something that resonates make a plan to get started

🪙 Minimise expenses where possible. Maybe have 3 coffees a week rather than 5. Maybe cut down one of your subscription services

🪙 Understand your asset position. Check in with what the value of your car or boat is sitting at. Take your inherited jewellery to be valued

🪙 Have a mindful money mindset. Save on costs where you can but make sure you still spend money on things that make you smile

Our biggest takeaway is just start somewhere and go from there.

💬 We would love to know your thoughts about our tips above! Was there any you loved, didn't like, hadn't thought over. Maybe there is another tip you would of added. Lets us know in the comments below 👇
