If apprentice wages are putting pressure on your payroll, there's some good news you should know about!
From 1 July 2025, the Queensland Government launched a pilot program offering up to 50% of apprentice wages reimbursed for small and family-run businesses - including construction, trade, and engineering businesses across Central QLD.
It's called the Small Business Apprenticeship Pilot Program, and it's already supporting real businesses across the region.
But it's capped at the first 2,000 apprentices across the state. Once the quota's filled, the opportunity closes.
Here's what's on offer:
➡️ 50% wage subsidy in years 1 & 2
➡️ 25% in years 3 & 4
➡️ Paid quarterly
➡️ No clawbacks if the apprentice leaves
