This one might be long gone, but Tony’s love of golf definitely isn’t. Still out there chasing that perfect shot and like most golfers, still convinced the next one will be the one.

But there’s a bit of truth in this photo. Hitting a hole-in-one? That’s luck. Running a business without the right cover? That’s a risk you don’t take.

From Theodore to Yeppoon, Rolleston to Gladstone (and everywhere in between), Tony’s been clocking up the kilometres, dropping in to catch up with clients… and apparently collecting selfies like souvenirs along the way.

No filters. No fancy angles. Just Tony, a pair of sunnies, and whatever sign he’s standing in front of that day.

But behind the laughs, there’s a reason for it.

One of the most important parts of what we do doesn’t happen behind a desk.

Samantha recently caught up with the team at Think Water Callide Valley ahead of this year’s renewal and it’s a great reminder of why these face-to-face conversations matter.

Last year, Tony worked alongside Glynn and Terri-Ann Sheppard from BKR Group Aust Pty Ltd to make sure their insurance keeps pace with the scale and complexity of what they do.

Winners are grinners 😄🍕

The team at ARMA Insurance Brokers CQ (along with a few of our great partners) managed to land ourselves $150 worth of pizza and drinks at The Queens Hotel Gladstone and safe to say, it didn’t last long.

It’s moments like this you appreciate being part of a local business community. Great people, good conversations, and the chance to enjoy a win together even if it’s a simple one like this.

A big thanks to the Queens Hotel for looking after us, and more broadly, to the local businesses across Gladstone that make this region what it is. There’s a strong sense of community here, and it’s something we’re proud to be part of.

There was a brief conversation last week about the ARMA Insurance Brokers CQ team entering the Gladstone Harbour Festival Raft Race… then someone remembered Tony was going to be “captain”.

Let’s just say great bloke, runs a tight ship at work but navigating a raft down the harbour? That’s a different kind of risk altogether. So the team made a very wise decision to stay dry this year.

In all seriousness, events like the Gladstone Harbour Festival are what make this region special. People getting involved, backing each other, and having a crack, it’s what builds community.
