This day in 2023.
134 metres above Sydney Harbour. With my sister and three children...
I was ridiculously and absolutely petrified of doing this 😅
A genuine, nightmarish fear of heights had me questioning every single step, but I climbed anyway.
I refused to let fear decide what I was capable of.
I wanted my kids to see that challenging myself is one of the greatest gifts we all hold the key to😍
Every time I choose courage and self belief over comfort, I build belief and trust in who I am. I keep building a life, a business and a story that I am exceptionally proud of 🔥🥰

A long term perspective (1996–2025)
When markets feel noisy, it helps to zoom out.

According to Vanguard's investment performance research from 1996 to 2025, the strongest performing asset classes over that period were:
• International shares
• US shares
• Australian listed property

The interesting part isn't who won.
It's that very few people would have picked those winners 30 years ago.
Through market crashes, political drama, global events and endless headlines, the investors who did best weren't chasing predictions.

They stayed invested.
They diversified.
They were consistent.

Don't mistake highlight reels or doom reels on social media for education.
Your financial future shouldn't be built around the latest headline.

It should be built around what matters most to you.

Consistency beats drama.
Calm money wins.

I used to love State of Origin nights. The banter, the teasing of the Queenslanders because clearly NSW are superior... even my children get in on the rivalry because they are born in different states! Then I learnt more...

As a financial adviser, and as someone who has personally experienced aspects of it, supported clients and friends through it, I’ve seen how domestic and family violence often hides behind “normal” Aussie culture, alcohol, stress and silence.

Financial abuse is acceptable in our society, but it is absolutely wrong (I don't have the PC words to put here) and needs to stop!

Control of money. Forced debt. Monitoring spending. Preventing independence. Creating fear around finances.

Most men on my feed are good men. This isn’t about blame. It’s about awareness and leadership.

Check in on your mates. Call out behaviour that isn’t ok. Teach emotional regulation, not intimidation. Remember that real strength is making people feel safe.

Women and children should never fear the men in their lives, but with NSW statistics previously showing domestic violence incidents increasing by over 40% on State of Origin nights, I felt this was important to share.

Wednesday started with herding kids and a school run if I'm being honest... but work mode activated and it was coffee, investments, the latest ETFs and real conversations for what works for clients with Angus from Van Eck.

I watched Inside the Manosphere by Louis Theroux yesterday and honestly… it left me unsettled.

A huge online ecosystem of influencers are selling young men “self improvement” while quietly funnelling them into paid communities containing “premium” adult material, rage baiting, controversial content where they are sold the dream of wealth via their commission based crypto and speculative investment trading platforms.

It is sold to young men as “self improvement”.
Lift weights. Make money. Become a “high value man”.
But the message underneath is that a man’s value is measured by his muscles, wealth and domination over women.

As a financial adviser and a mum to a tween boy and teen girls, this worries me.

If you have young people in your life, particularly boys, it might be worth checking in about what they are seeing online.

This is not healthy financial advice and frankly it's not a healthy approach to relationship or life advice for our young people.

If we are not shaping conversations about money, respect and relationships, the internet absolutely will.
