In MY 25/26, over 1.3 billion tonnes of corn was grown over 60% of this is used for stockfeed. With the current corn crop in the EU and US deteriorating due to hot and dry conditions we will see the substitution of wheat and barley into feed rations. Does this lead to a greater demand for Aussie feed grains?

In 2025, Australia was the second largest beef exporter in the world exporting over 1.5mmt of beef. Brazil took top spot and rounding out the top 5 was India, USA and Argentina. With the number of cattle on feed trending up in Australia you'd expect this volume to continue to increase.

A great day had by all at the GIAV/SMFCA conference in Yarrawonga last week, thanks to all involved in putting it together.

The crops are looking fantastic in North East Vic, it was great to catch up with a few of our growers in the area post the event.
