Pictured are two pretty amazing things:

1. We (almost) managed to get 2 adults and 8 toddlers to smile for the camera at the same time!
2. The kids are getting a brand-new cubby house - thanks to our Chair, Jo, choosing the Lockington Kindergarten as the recipient of his Legacy Grant. ❤️

As our Chair - and alongside our past Chairs, steering committee members, Branch Managers and current staff - Jo was given the opportunity to direct a $1,000 grant to a local organisation of his choice.

With Jo’s family connection to the Kinder, it was a natural choice - and judging by these little faces, we think his grant has gone to some very happy recipients! 🏠🫶🏻

Congratulations to Mount Pleasant Football/Netball Club, who are heading into their second Seniors Grand Final in a row! 🏆 Their new marquee will no doubt come in handy - a big thank you to our current team member, Lily, and our inaugural marketing support, Kristy, who both chose the club as recipients of their $1,000 Legacy Grants. ❤️

We’ve loved sharing stories from our Legacy Grants Program over the past few weeks. Through the program, we invited some key members of our Community Bank family - past and present - to each direct $1,000 to a local organisation close to their heart.

And there are plenty more lovely stories still to come! Make sure you’re following along to see where our Legacy Grants are making a difference across our community. ✨

Today we’re checking in with the lovely Lily - one of our 2026 Scholarship Recipients, and one of the first TAFE students we’ve supported through our scholarship program! 👏🏻

Lily is studying Nursing at Bendigo TAFE - a pathway she discovered was right for her after taking a gap year and working at REDHS following Year 12. 🩺

So, how is she finding it?
❤️ Lily is loving the course so far. “It’s definitely challenging sometimes, but I’m learning so many exciting new things. My favourite part of the course is the sim labs, where we get to practise on mannequins. I feel like having that hands-on experience helps me learn so much better!”

🚗 The travel to and from Bendigo hasn’t been too bad - and Lily says a good podcast certainly helps make the trip go a little quicker!

🩺 Placement is still to come, and Lily is really looking forward to putting everything she’s learnt into practice and gaining experience working with real patients.

🫶🏻 Her scholarship has helped with the added costs of fuel and parking, taking some of the financial pressure off so she can focus on her studies.

We’re so pleased to be able to support Lily as she takes these first steps towards a career in nursing, and we can’t wait to see where it takes her.

And to our wonderful customers - thank you. By banking with us, you’re helping Lily and eight other local students through their first year of further study in 2026. 👏🏻❤️

Doesn’t Rochester Junior Football Club new marquee look fantastic?!

The marquee was made possible through our $4 million Legacy Grants Program, with donations from two very special people in our Community Bank’s story – current team member Morghan and original Director Leisa.

It can really be the little things that make the biggest difference to our local sporting clubs. From game days and presentations to events and fundraisers, we have no doubt this marquee will come in handy!🫶🏻✨

Bob Ferrie was the Chair of our original Steering Committee - and it's thanks to his foresight, passion and incredibly hard work that our Community Bank is here today. He also played a huge part in establishing Campaspe Run Elmore - so it feels especially fitting that he chose them as the recipient of his $1,000 Legacy Grant.

Colin is a volunteer at Campaspe Run’s dedicated volunteers – one of a small group of people who generously give their time to ensure this important community asset continues to operate and remains available for our community.

Thanks Bob & Colin - Elmore simply wouldn't be the same without you both. ✨
