Big banks have confirmed a policy change for 1st April:

Major banks will now accept 98 octane as genuine savings and a full tank of diesel as premium security for your next home loan.

The Reserve Bank of Australia has increased the cash rate by 0.25% to 4.10%.

The RBA has lifted rates again as inflation remains above its target range. Most lenders are expected to pass on the increase, which may add pressure to repayments in the coming weeks.

Recent data shows inflation is still sitting around 3.8%, with underlying inflation slightly rising — reinforcing why the RBA is holding a firm stance.

If you haven’t reviewed your loan recently, now is a good time to understand where you stand and whether your current rate is still competitive.
