🥁Drum roll please! 🥁

🛻The Captain Fawcett Track is officially OPEN!

There may still be some water on the track so drive careful.. There are 3 areas to be mindful of though you should be fine getting out and having a look will save time and damage to cars and track

It is not a one way track currently though we highly suggest starting from nanga road as there are not many passing areas.. some of the side tracks are a little more challenging this year so again, walk the track before driving..

There is NO camping along or off on side tracks.. Definitely no fires this time of the year.. Please pick up after yourselves and take all rubbish out with you

We have done a lot of work on removing fallen trees and logs which there was more of over this winter than usual so still be mindful

And most of all drive safe and enjoy the track!

Thank you! We have a couple people who have volunteered their time..

Reminder track is CLOSED.. and we will be on it working.. there will not be room to get around if your silly enough to go on a closed track.. you will have to turn around yourself the way you come!

Track maintenance this weekend! - Track STILL closed! We need help! - many followers have offered previously so thought I'd put out a last minute call!

We will be on the track over this coming weekend, doing some Track maintenance and condition reporting to hand over to DPAW to get the track open for the upcoming summer season..

We need help!
We are looking for a couple suitable 4wds (recovery points & lifted) and people who are happy to support us with volunteering some time and their own hand tools to give us some extra hands.. Unfortunately some of our usual workers on this track have injuries and can't help as much as we would like to..

It's late notice and will be a day event - for people who have their own hand tools - mostly pruning back over growth - it can be scratchy on the cars.. its not pet or young child friendly.. youll need your own PP gear - gloves, boots etc and you can only be on the track with our permission so all arrangements and plans need to go through us

If you can help out this weekend are responsible drivers with preferred knowledge of the track- please PM me :)

👋 After a few months of page issues aive finally got it back up and running! Sorry for the no updates and lack of page.. not entirely sure what happened but seems to be all good now!

🛑Track still remains closed for the wet period even though winter is officially over and with the rains going on I expect it to be closed for some time still 🛑

👋👋Hello followers! It's been a while hey..

🎉Good news.. TRACK IS OPEN!

Please remember - no fires, no camping, no being a hoon, no rubbish and toulet paper left behind!
We do a lot to keep this track open and most of that depends on how you all treat it!

Drive safe, loom after each other and our environment!

I'm really disappointed to be doing this post :(

🙌The Armadale 4wd Club went down to do track maintenance on the track this weekend.. and sadly what they found was the worst we have seen..

😡Not only were there cars and motor bikes on the track that were aware it was closed but drove it anyway *say cheese*

😡The track closed sign from one end was removed / stolen / dismantled.. it was unscrewed and missing.. only left the bolts and brackets behind..

😡The amount of rubbish left behind was awful.. thankfully the club picked up what they could..

This kind of behaviour and treatment of the track will only lead to yet another track being closed and nowhere for the genuine 4wders to go.. Please report people you see disrespecting our land and privilege to visit these beautiful places

🙌A huge thank you, yet again to the members of Armadale 4wd club who take time out to look after and keep our track in the best conditions they can.. do them a favour and help out.. stay away juat for a few more months before we can't go back at all.
