An overview of some of our new classes debuting at the Geelong Mega Guinea Pig Pet Show! 😍

Hat Balance Challenge
A new and fun class, this is to test our cavies patience and stillness. Handlers will be given a small top hat and when requested by the judge, will be placed on their cavy’s head. The cavy who can wear the hat the longest without it falling off will be our winner!

Lookalike Fancy Dress
As the class name suggests this gives an opportunity for both our cavy and owner to dress up in matching or complimentary outfits! The theme for Lookalike Fancy Dress is Disney! The judge will be looking for the best matching cavy and person dress up that clearly meets the theme.

Diorama Fancy Dress
This class is for people who want to make their cavy shine! Make a costume and matching backgrounds and props to make your cavy stand out in this class. The theme for Diorama Fancy Dress is Disney! The judge will be looking for the best diorama that fits the theme. Please note dioramas should not be larger than 40cm by 40cm.

Quickest Cruncher
A refresh of our fastest eater with a new food item instead of grass. Cavies will have to crunch through a treat and the quickest cavy will be our winner!

Best Presented
This class is similar to our condition class but puts an emphasis on cleanliness and presentation. It is for our cavies that may still be growing (or aging), and their physical condition is not in its prime but are still loved and cherished. Make sure your cavy’s nails are trimmed and there is not a speck of dirt on your cavy.

Are you ready? Because it’s our first Mega Pet Show of the year! We have been hard at work refreshing our Mega Pet Show classes for you. Same people, same club but a whole new show!

For the first time ever, we are introducing two very requested classes… Lookalike Fancy Dress and Diorama Fancy Dress! There are another 10 new classes as well. Hit the follow button, as we will be doing a post for each class leading up to the show day outlining the class and what the judge will be looking for.

🏠 2nd Geelong Scouts Hall, 33A Myers St, Geelong, Victoria.
🧞‍♀️ A Disney themed show so start planning your costumes and dioramas!

Congratulations to Drew from Shuri Stud for winning the Best in Show in from the Kings and Queens Royale with his homebred silver agouti boar Shuri Silver Bluff judged by Cory Haugh and Ken Peddersen.
