A mortgage broker is about so much more than finding you a home loan. ❤️ Over the past six months, I’ve supported a first-home buyer through his property journey and during that time, we had 72 phone calls and 66 text messages. Because buying property can feel overwhelming, and sometimes you just need someone to be your sounding board, answer the questions you don’t know to ask, point you in the right direction and reassure you when you’re unsure of what comes next. That one-on-one support is a huge part of what I do. You don’t have to navigate the journey alone. 🏡

During Oscar’s Hut2Hut 100km hike, I had a moment where I realised something…

I might have crossed that finish line, but I didn’t do it alone. My village got me there . From the people who encouraged me, supported me, and reminded me I could keep going.

It made me think about why I love being a mortgage broker.

Because it’s not just about the loan. It’s about being the person in your corner, someone you can turn to, someone who has your back through life’s different chapters.

What’s the old saying... "Preparation prevents piss-poor performance."

Luckily, these clients reached out to me to help them secure finance. If they had gone directly to the lender, their application would have been instantly declined.

By taking the time to thoroughly prepare their application, we uncovered issues they didn't even know existed. Addressing those before submitting meant they didn't have to walk away from the sale contract and the home they had fallen in love with.

Instead, we ended up in tears celebrating their formal approval and what it means for their family's future. ❤️

Preparation really does make all the difference.
