Christmas in Cooroy

Thank you so much to our Christmas in Cooroy Lights Competition judges, Cr Tom Wegener and his wife Margie and here are the results 🎉

Special mentions go out to:
8 Pinbarren Court with a jumping castle
3 Dianella Court where young Dominic had done a fantastic job
6 Bagnalls Rd, big cheer, difficultly, volume and depth
10 Dianella Court with subtle moving animals and immaculate presentation

The winner is 63 Gumboil Rd, which created a wonderland to walk into and experience complete with Christmas treats and sanitiser, mail box to Santa, giant Santa, lights high in palm trees and throughout the yard and finally, a projection of Santa dancing at the beach. It is a perfect place to energise the kids and Christmas spirit 🎄

In the business category just about every business in town added their special touch to the scene, even the Police Station!

The esteemed judging panel had a conundrum when deciding between first and second in this competition. Blue Brown Bag had a spectacular display which warmed the heart featuring their merchandise.

Hinter Noosa Real Estate took a different approach by filling the window with gifts donated to a Christmas appeal for the Salvation Army. The Christmas display was not quite on par as far as decoration as others, however, the fact that they sacrificed window space for the Christmas display seemed to truly capture the Christmas Spirit of giving and generosity and therefore are the winners of the 2020 business category

Fresh back from his recent appearance on Channel 9s, Millionaire Hot Seat, Eric Read and his mate Sparky will be at Christmas in Cooroy, entertaining the shoppers and visitors, on the evening of Friday 4th.

Congratulations to Cooroy Country Wear and Jeanery for winning 1st place, Cooroy Shoes and Accessories 2nd place and Galah Home winning 3rd place in the Cooroy Family Practice shop window trail 2020.
Also to the winner of the "vote for your favorite window $100 SUPA IGA Cooroy gift voucher" Jessica Jensen of Hinternoosa Real Estate. Another fantastic year of window displays...thank you to everyone involved and to everyone that participated.
