Our first week in the new Coolum Office

✅ We had 6 appointments in Coolum and 5 in Noosaville
✅ Submitted $6,900,000 in applications
✅ Booked 4 new appointments for the Coolum office next week
✅ Signage went up
✅ Interviewed for our new Operations Manger
✅ Got the kids back and forth from tennis camp, rugby, swimming and play dates

We have a few more finishing touches over the next week or 2 and will hopefully have the new operations manager recruited.

Nine years in business today, and our Final day in Peregian Beach

Next week, we open our new office in Coolum Beach as we continue to grow.

Today marks nine years since Larissa Barton and I opened our doors as mortgage brokers on the Sunshine Coast, after relocating from Sydney with our two-year-old daughter and newborn son.

This was our second office in Peregian, just a few doors up from where we started. Back then, the Sunshine Coast hadn’t recovered from the GFC.

Valuations came in short on nearly every deal, and local incomes didn’t meet bank policy.

It was also a different time for brokers. Most new brokers wouldn’t know what it was like having to explain to every client why they should use a broker instead of just walking into their bank. Back when we started, every incoming inquiry seemed to start with, "What's your best rate and why should I use you instead of my bank?"

Nine years later:
✅ Well over $1 billion in loans settled
✅ Thousands of locals helped
✅ Sunshine Coast locals hired, trained and qualified into the industry
✅ Noosaville office opened and owned
✅ Coolum Beach office opens next week (also owned)
✅ Thousands spent on local sponsorships and charities
✅ Lots of coffee consumed

We’re proud of what we’ve built. Thanks to every client, team member, business partner and every person who has sent someone our way.

Peregian Beach gave us our start. You’ve been good to us, and we hope we’ve been good for you.

We’re ready to do the same in Coolum and keep growing in Noosaville.

Seeking an Executive Assistant to assist Larissa Barton and me in our mortgage brokerage.

Responsibilities include managing client inquiries, coordinating daily tasks, and assisting with client retention and reviews.

Key Responsibilities:

Respond promptly to incoming client leads.
Organise and manage daily schedules and business tasks.
Coordinate between the Coolum Beach and Noosaville offices as needed.

We’re relocating to Coolum Beach.

After 9 successful years in Peregian Beach, we’re strategically moving to Coolum Beach.

This move puts us where our clients are.
With most of our business coming from Coolum, Yaroomba, Peregian Springs, Peregian Breeze and Yandina, it makes sense to be based in the heart of the action.

Our Noosaville office remains business as usual, and we’re just minutes away from our Peregian Beach clients.

We will be at the Peregian Beach office up until the end of June.
