As mentioned in the article, always double check that a request for funds has been made direct from your real estate agent or solicitor by phoning them direct. I personally thing having a phase/code only you and your agent or solicitor know (separate one for each) like a bank code could assist and never tell anyone else the code or write it in an email or text just in case.

This Ai is moving so fast and sadly it seems to be everywhere we look. Criminals will try and use it for no good wherever they can.

At least half of Aussies say they would pay out $80,000 if they received this “terrifying” email, with experts warning - it’s one of the most convincing scams.

Sadly they have increased the official cash rate by a further .25 basis points bring it up to 4.25%

I don’t know about you but this whole overseas crisis seems to not be going anywhere soon and is becoming more worrying by the day.

Watching closely the impact this will have/is having here in Australia. Fuel prices, rising costs for food, transport (keeping our trucks on the road), businesses not being able to hang on just to name a few concerns.

As a Mortgage Broker the general cost of living is a huge concern and we also have potential for our interest rates here in Australia to rise even further. A question I have been getting over the last four weeks - is should I fix my interest rate or not. Sadly I can’t advise what the right thing is to do however I can discuss your options available so you can make an informed decision on what best suits your needs.

If you do decide that you want to fix your interest rate, then you need to be happy with the timeframe and interest rate chosen. If for any reason you need to break out of a fixed rate ie selling home, refinancing or other purpose then you also need to be prepared for break costs. These costs will vary based on several factors and won’t be available until you break your fixed rate.

Taking the time to look at your current lending situation and maybe consolidating might be all that is needed to take some pressure off.

What a crazy few weeks we have had, and the pain to our wallets is only getting worse.

With the RBA increasing interest rates again, the crisis in the Middle East which is impacting our fuel that will ultimately affect our food chain and other goods it really is a bit sickening.

Reserve Bank Announces a .25 basis point increase. 😞

Oh gosh…. The Reserve Bank have announced an increase of .25 Basis Points on the cash rate.

It is certainly not good news for those with Mortgages and so early in the new year.
