This week our Community Partnership Manager Nicola Powell met with Maroubra SLSC President Phil Carter, Club Captain James Lamb and Dylan Parker - Mayor of Randwick to officially launch the newly donated Maroubra IRB.

This is the 11th IRB Community Bank Clovelly has donated to our local surf clubs, the first for Maroubra SLSC.

Community Bank Clovelly is a small business based in Clovelly. We are a franchise of Bendigo Bank and operate as a profit-for-purpose bank. This means we give up to 80% of our profits back to our local community. Since opening in 2002, we have donated over $2.3 million back to our local community, supporting over 200 local community groups and charities.

Thank you to our customers for banking with us and thus enabling this substantial donation to our local surf club.

This week Bondi Surf Club President Liz Webb and Director of Lifesaving Sarah Murray met with Nicola Powell, Community Partnership Manager at Community Bank Clovelly, to discuss our latest grant to Bondi SLSC.

Community Bank Clovelly approved a crisis grant in December to both Bondi and North Bondi SLSC in the wake of the terrible events of 14th December.

The grant’s goal was to provide funding towards wellbeing programs, and first aid inventory replenishment post the tragic attack.

Nicola Powell, on behalf of the Community Bank Clovelly, states ‘’Your surf lifesaving community did a fantastic job on the ground, and we hugely respect and appreciate everything your members did for our community on that night and beyond.’’

Over the past few years Community Bank Clovelly has awarded a number of grants totaling $51,000 to Bondi Surf Club towards a range of projects including an IRB, rescue boards, equipment upgrades, wetsuits and upgrading clubhouse facilities.

Our community greatly appreciates our surf lifesaving community volunteers who give up their time to keep our community safe.

This week our President Liz Webb and Director of Lifesaving Sarah Murray met with Nicola Powell, Community Partnership Manager at , to acknowledge and discuss the recent support provided to Bondi SBLSC through the Community Bank’s recent grant program.
Earlier this year, Community Bank Clovelly approved crisis grants for both Bondi and North Bondi Surf Clubs to support member wellbeing and replenish critical first aid supplies and equipment following the events of 14th December.
Speaking about the partnership, Nicola said “your surf lifesaving community did a fantastic job on the ground, and we hugely respect and appreciate everything your members did for our community on that night and beyond.”
Over the past few years, Community Bank Clovelly has contributed over $50,000 to Bondi SBLSC, supporting projects including an IRB, rescue boards, equipment upgrades, wetsuits and clubhouse improvements.
