Have you met Maui, one of our adorable Little Blue Penguins?

Maui was born at Sea Life Sydney and later transferred to Coffs Coast Wildlife Sanctuary as part of an important conservation breeding program. Since arriving, he has certainly made himself at home!

Known for his cheeky personality and curious nature, Maui can often be found exploring Penguin Paradise, investigating anything new, and occasionally causing a little bit of mischief along the way. 😄

We think he's an absolute stunner, with his beautiful blue feathers and charming character winning over staff and visitors alike.

Want to know how to spot him? Keep an eye out for his blue and green leg bands – that's how our team can identify Maui amongst the penguin colony. 🩵💚

Sonia recently helped two first home buyers settle on their place and had them on their way to settlement before hopping on a plane to Italy.

They came to Sonia through a referral (the best kind!), ready to buy their first home. The only hurdle was that their purchase price put them just over the eligibility limit for the 5% deposit government scheme, which meant they were looking at paying Lenders Mortgage Insurance.

So Sonia did some research and found a lender that let these first home buyers borrow up to 85% with no LMI.... plus $2K cashback on top. Congratulazioni! 🇮🇹

It's a great outcome and exactly why it pays to have a broker looking at the whole market for you. Every situation is different and the best loan isn't always the obvious one.

A lot of people put their property dreams on hold thinking they need to save for years before they can even knock on a lender's door.

However some lenders will consider a deposit as low as 5% depending on your situation, income and credit history.

There are also government schemes designed to help first home buyers get in sooner.

Now, going in with a smaller deposit does come with things to consider like Lenders Mortgage Insurance (LMI) and your full financial situation will always need to be assessed before anything is confirmed.
