Bank with us to get local legendary customer service, award-winning Bendigo Bank products and competitive rates. The better big bank

Interest rates, product range and convenience generally rate as important factors in deciding on a financial provider for your business or personal banking. This is not surprising since each of these factors potentially impact on our household or business income. Ve

ry few of us would have taken into consideration the way in which financial providers distribute the profits they accrue from our community’s banking business- and understandably so. Before our Community Bank was established, we had no real say in where the profits generated from local Bank branches went. Profits were controlled by each Banks’ head office. A small percentage of the profits generated from our combined banking business was reinvested back in the community for productive use. If you own a small business, the success of your venture may well depend on the state of the local economy. As a local community resident, the quality of services and facilities available in your district and the value of any land you may own depends very much on the local economy. Whilst our Community Bank branch offers a full array of banking products at competitive interest rates as well as providing friendly, professional and personalised service to all our customers, we also provide you with an opportunity to contribute to securing a prosperous future for your community. In addition, you can have a say in the distribution of profits generated from our community’s banking business. The Community Bank model entitles our community to participate in the net profits from the branch.

Supporting a community space that brings people together

We’re proud to support the 5th Brunswick Scout Group’s Kitchen Upgrade Project, helping create a safer and more functional space for the many community groups that call the Scout Hall home.

Used every week by various community organisations the hall plays an important role in connecting people and strengthening our community.

Our partnership has helped deliver new kitchen storage and cabinetry, improving safety, functionality and accessibility for all hall users.

Recently, one of our directors Zhedi joined the Scout group for their Annual Reporting Awards and Presentation (ARAP) Night to hear firsthand about the positive impact the hall continues to have on local families and community groups.

Congratulations to the 5th Brunswick Scout Group and all the volunteers who work so hard to create welcoming spaces where young people and the broader community can learn, connect and thrive.

We are proud to support WeCycle Melbourne, to help provide refurbished bicycles to people rebuilding their lives in our community.

Between November 2025 and April 2026, WeCycle provided 73 refurbished bicycles to migrants and refugees from countries including Afghanistan, Burma, Cambodia, Iraq, Somalia and Syria via local agency referrals.

Funding from our Community Partnership Program enabled WeCycle to purchase essential safety equipment including helmets, lights, locks and bells to ensure every recipient could ride safely and legally.

For many recipients, a bicycle is more than just transport, it provides independence, access to work and education, and the opportunity to connect with family, friends and their local community.

A huge thank you to the dedicated WeCycle volunteers and everyone who donates bicycles to help make this incredible initiative possible.

💜 Wear It Purple Day

Today, on Wear It Purple Day, we’re proud to celebrate the importance of creating safe, inclusive and supportive spaces where LGBTQIAPN+ people can feel connected, valued and like they belong.

We’re proud to have supported Euphoria Foundation, a community-led organisation working to strengthen LGBTQIAPN+ wellbeing through connection, education and community.

One of Euphoria Social’s initiatives is the 314 Movement - a peer-led wellbeing initiative that encourages people to pause, reflect, check in and connect with others. The simple 3-1-4 practice focuses on 3 gratitudes, 1 source of support and 4 breaths, helping make everyday wellbeing and connection something we can all prioritise. Their next event is on Saturday 12 September 11:00-4:00 at Fitzroy North.

Well done Euphoria Social for the work you’re doing to build more connected, inclusive communities where everyone can feel that they belong. 💜

Happy Wear It Purple Day!

We’re proud to partner with BANH Neighbourhood Houses to support initiatives that strengthen community connections and improve wellbeing.

Through funding support from our Community Bank Clifton Hill - North Fitzroy, BANH’s Garden Club has transformed an outdoor space into a thriving community hub where residents come together to grow organic vegetables and traditional herbs, share knowledge, build friendships, and support one another. 🌱

The program has helped reduce social isolation, foster a sense of belonging, and create meaningful opportunities for connection among public housing residents, particularly older community members and people from migrant and refugee backgrounds.

“The Garden Club gives us a reason to meet each week. We talk about plants, share ideas, and learn from each other. It makes us feel connected.” Nga

The garden has created new friendships. Many participants stay after gardening to enjoy a coffee, chat, spend time together. For many people, especially those who live alone, the Garden Club provides an important opportunity to connect with others and feel part of the community.

As the 2026 footy season draws to a close, we congratulate all our local clubs on a fantastic year and wish those heading into the finals the very best of luck! 🏆

Well done to everyone involved, including players, coaches, volunteers, mums and dads, cheer squads, and committee members who give their time, energy and passion to make it all happen.

Community sport is about so much more than what happens on the field. It brings people together, creates lifelong friendships and makes our local communities stronger.

We’re proud to support our local clubs and wish everyone involved a fantastic finals campaign!

Good luck, we are cheering you on!
