Today we’re celebrating an incredible milestone - Clare’s 20-year anniversary with Midland! 🥂

We're incredibly proud of our Midland Insurance Brokers family!

Our Sydney team member dedicated her time and heart to raising, socialising, and training a beautiful Guide Dog puppy named Dianne - from the wobbly, squeaky toy-loving age of 10 weeks all the way to a confident 15 months old. From mastering the art of sit and stay, to learning that office chairs aren't chew toys (mostly), Dianne took her training in stride — with plenty of tail wags along the way.

After a year of dedication, love, and hard work, Dianne successfully transitioned to formal training at Guide Dogs Australia and as of last month, has officially graduated as a qualified Guide Dog!

Congratulations to Dianne — we always knew you were pawsitively destined for great things. And a huge thank you to Guide Dogs Australia for the amazing work they do every day.

We're honoured to play a small part in supporting such life-changing initiatives.

🥾 Midland vs. The Pinnacle: We Came, We Climbed, We Conquered (Eventually).

Last weekend, a brave band of Midland adventurers took on The Pinnacle walk in the Grampians. There were laughs, snacks, questionable navigation choices, and one or two "Are we there yet?" moments… but we made it!

Between the stunning views and the sore legs, we’ve decided hiking is probably worth it (ask us again tomorrow).

This year, Midland is taking part in Fight Cancer Foundation's Footy Colours Day to help kids with cancer!

All the money we raise will help the Fight Cancer Foundation to provide accommodation and support for cancer patients and their families and fund vital life-saving research into cancer treatment and cures.

This Thursday 13/10/22 is expecting between 40-65mm of rain across Melbourne.
Here are some tips to prepare your home for a heavy rainfall...

1. Check your roof - make sure it's in good condition and look for any cracks etc.
2. Clean your gutters - remove any mud/grass build-up, and keep your downpipes clear.
3. Clear debris from stormwater drains - even though it's the council's job, clearing debris away from them can go a long way in protecting your home from water damage and sewer back-up issues during a heavy rainfall.
4. Shut all doors and windows and check their seal.
5. Check that loose items such as outdoor furniture, umbrellas and trampolines are safely secured.

Finally, check the www.bom.gov.au website or app and listen to your local radio station for storm warnings and updates.
