🚨 Big Change Proposed for SMSF Property Investors 🚨

The Federal Government has agreed to support a proposal that would ban future SMSF borrowing for residential property purchases.

Here's what you need to know:

✅ Existing SMSF property loans will remain unchanged.
✅ Current borrowing arrangements will be grandfathered.
✅ SMSFs can still purchase property using available cash in the fund.
❌ New SMSF loans for residential property may no longer be allowed.

The Government says the change aims to reduce risk and protect retirement savings, while affecting less than 1% of Australia's residential property lending market.

For investors considering purchasing residential property through an SMSF, this could be a significant change to future investment strategies.

As always, legislation still needs to pass Parliament before becoming law.
