Victorian Government to Expand Business Support During Further Covoid-19 Restrictions

Over $500 million has been allocated to help businesses in Victoria through the latest pandemic limitations. Support from the government will include $5,000 grants to eligible businesses located within the state. Formerly the grant was only available to twelve postcodes, however since further restrictions have been put in place, the government has now introduced the $5k package for all postcodes and is now available to 80,000 eligible businesses affected under the stage 3 restrictions.

Other funding under the latest round will include:
• CBD funding - $20 Million
• Hospitality Operators - $30 Million
• Business Mentoring - $10 Million
• Mental Health - $26 Million
• Plus payroll tax deferral (check eligibility)

The expanded Business Support Fund will provide more than 80,000 eligible businesses with a new $5,000 grant to support them through the renewed restrictions.

Queensland $10,000 Adaptation Grants will open for appllication by small business owners on 1st July 2020. This round will close once all funds are exhausted, get in quick if your business is subject to closure or highly impacted by the COVID-19 shutdown restrictions announced by the Queensland Government.

Funding under round 2 will commence on July 1 2020, however applications will close once the fund pool has been used.

Funding under this round can be used for:

• preparing to safely resume trading
• operating costs
• access technologies that will help rebuild your business in new ways
• create or maintain online opportunity that ensures employment over the long term
• retrain or up skill staff and owners to new business ideas and technology
• diversify business by embracing adaption and sustainability
• create new jobs that will ensure long term employment.

Local Capability Fund WA "Closing for $20,000 Grant Applications in 14 days"
Aims to provide small to medium sized enterprises SMEs) in Western Australia (WA) with grants to enhance their potential and competitiveness as suppliers of products, services and works to the Western Australian State Government major projects and other principle markets.

The Local Capability Fund normally delivers funding assistance on a dollar for dollar match basis for activities such as planning, improvements to internal infrastructure, plant & equipment plus training.

Purpose of the grants is to:

- Improve the applicant’s capability and role to service the market place

- Meet the requirements for pre-qualification, contractual or technical compliance within the market place

- Overcome barriers and constraints to participate with in the market

- Improve innovation and research

- Improve overall competitiveness
