- Dont forget items like a portable chargers, toiletries, and hygiene products.

3. Secure Your Home:
- Close all windows, doors, and shutters, or board/tape up windows if necessary.
- clear yard of debris
- Trim trees and shrubs to reduce the risk of falling branches.
- Ensure your roof, gutters, and drains are secure and clear of debris.

4. Evacuation Plan:
- Know the safest evacuation routes and shelters in your area.
- Make sure your family knows where to meet in case you get separated.
- Plan for pets, as they may need to be evacuated too.

5. Flood Preparation:
- If you’re in a flood-prone area, elevate valuable items and important documents to higher ground.
- Consider sandbags or other flood barriers if you live near low-lying areas.

6. Emergency Contacts:
- Have a list of emergency contacts, including local authorities, family members, and neighbors.
- Share your plans with family and friends so they know where to reach you.

7. Backup Power:
- If possible, have a generator or backup power system available in case of power outages.
- Stock up on fuel for your generator if necessary.

8. Prepare Your Vehicle:
- Keep your vehicle fueled and ready to go in case you need to evacuate and/or garage vehicle if possible.

9. Stay Indoors During the Cyclone:
- Stay away from windows & glass doors.
- Find a safe room or interior area on the lowest level & smallest room of your home.
- Wait for the all clear from local authorities before going outside.

10. After the Cyclone:
- Be cautious of hazards like flooding, downed power lines, unstable structures & mindful of debris.

Preparation is key to ensuring your safety during a cyclone. It is important to stay calm and have a plan in place.
