🌟 Board Spotlight: Andrew Davis🌟

Andrew joined the Community Bank Board as a way to continue giving back to the local community and supporting projects that make a real difference across the region. A long-time Bendigo Bank customer, he was inspired by the positive impact the Community Bank model has locally.

For Andrew, long-term community investment is important because it helps shape the region and supports the local organisations that need it most.

Outside of his Board role, Andrew enjoys boating and fishing and spending time on the water. Coming from a marine background, he sailed around the world from the age of 12 on a yacht built by his father right here in Gladstone.

Andrew’s message to the community is simple- Community Bank is a bank for the community, focused on giving back locally.

We were proud to support the Gladstone Kart Club with funding towards a new Square system to assist the club on race days.

The new setup has already improved speed and reliability, making things smoother for volunteers, competitors and visitors alike.

🌟 Board Spotlight: Jo Hill 🌟

Jo has proudly lived and worked in the Gladstone region for 38 years, with strong ties to the local community through her work as a nurse, stud cattle producer and volunteer with organisations including the Mt Larcom Show, Rural Fire Brigade and Calliope Central Bowls Club.

For Jo, being part of a community-owned bank means knowing that every customer choosing to bank locally is also helping invest back into the community. One of her proudest achievements has been seeing more than $5 million returned to the Gladstone Region through grants, sponsorships and scholarships from Community Bank Calliope and Gladstone over the past 16 years.

Jo believes what makes Calliope and Gladstone such a great place to live and work is the people, particularly the many volunteers and community organisations dedicated to making a difference locally.
