The model quickly spread across the nation and in 2023 we celebrated the 25years of Community Banking. Byford & Districts Community Bank opened its doors on 28th January 2005. Since opening, we have given over $1.8million in funding to our local shire. The great thing about our branch is that we are the only bank in the area. Not only that but our staff and Directors have worked hard to establish the branch as central point. To grow the business and develop the branch into the success it is today. Our point of difference is people! You can ring the branch and speak to a person. You can come into the branch and the staff will help you with your query. But if this doesn't suit, you can also talk to us via TEAMS. The branch is there to support our customers. Our model is unique. We are one of the largest Social Enterprises in the world. A quest we are looking to be recognised for. We give 80% of our profits back to the local shire in the way of funding for youth, mental health, education, sport and arts… just to name a few! We are all one team. We work well together; we develop the business with a point of ‘profit for purpose’ and we have fun doing it.
