NESS Super is an industry super fund dedicated to electricians and trades people and there’s a SPECIALNESS in how we look after our members.

A great turnout at our Castle Hill Planning for Retirement seminar last week.

We welcomed members along with their partners to talk through what to consider as retirement approaches so they can make informed decisions about super.

It was fantastic to see such an engaged group with plenty of thoughtful questions across the session.

Thank you to everyone who attended and made it such a valuable discussion.

We had the pleasure of participating in the NECA Industry Insights event hosted by NECA QLD and the Electrical Safety Office.

The event brought NECA members together to hear important technical, regulatory and legislative updates for the electrical industry, presented by the Electrical Safety Office QLD.

We shared an update on Payday Super and encouraged employers to start preparing now rather than waiting until July. We also highlighted how workplace super education can support stronger employee wellbeing and help teams take greater control of their financial future.

Great to be onsite at Superior Training Centre - International and Domestic Students for orientation day with the apprentices.

Our Employer Services Managers spent time with new starters covering the super basics that matter most for people working in the trades, including:

- How an industry super fund works
- Insurance cover through super
- Fees and long-term returns

Thank you to the team at STC for having us and allowing us to share the importance of engaging with Super early in your career.

🏆 Celebrating emerging talent at the NECA Awards 🏆

We were proud to attend the NECA Awards held at Dockside on Friday night, celebrating excellence across the electrical industry.

Congratulations to Luke Pavlic (as pictured), hosted by R W Palmer Electrical Services Pty Ltd, who took out 1st Place in the NECA Apprentice of the Year (Second Year) award. A fantastic achievement and well-deserved recognition.

Congratulations also to Cayla Johnston (as pictured), hosted by Barnwell Cambridge, who was awarded 3rd Place in the same category. An outstanding effort and a great result.

We also acknowledge Oliver Franks, hosted by Heyday5 Pty Ltd, who achieved 2nd Place but was unable to attend on the night.

Well done to all finalists and thank you to NECA NSW for hosting a great evening celebrating the future of our industry.

As we wrap up another year, we’d like to thank all our members, employers, and partners for being part of our journey. Whether you’re taking a well earned break or powering through the holiday season, we’re here to support you.

We had an incredible day at NECA NSW with apprentices and staff joining us for a classic sausage sizzle, a cold drink, and a chance to chat with the team.

We had a great day firing up the grill and catching up with the apprentices at Superior Training Centre - International and Domestic Students. The sun was blaring but nothing beats good food and great conversations with future tradespeople.

A big thank you to all our attendees who joined us at last week’s Planning for Retirement seminar at Liverpool Catholic Club.

Our retirement seminars are great for understanding your options when it comes to planning for life after work. Our seminars cover things like contribution strategies, all the way to exploring the benefits of account-based pensions for retirement income.

If you couldn’t make it to our Liverpool session, don’t worry as we are constantly running them throughout the year. As always, our financial planners are available for a chat to help you plan your retirement.
