When everything feels lost, this community delivers. ❤️

Kelly visited the Community Care Centre in Ballarat, where local Rotary groups have come together to create one central warehouse for donated goods to be sorted and shared with local people doing it tough.

The centre supports people experiencing homelessness, vulnerability or the sudden loss of a household, making sure practical items can get to the people who need them most.

Warren Payne from Community Care Centre says the work is about helping people rebuild with dignity, one donated item at a time.

Community Bank Buninyong is so glad we got behind this initiative as it's very much changing lives. In this instance, care looks like a bed, a fridge, a blanket or a fresh start.

⭐️ Speaking of which, they are desperate for washing machines, fridges, double and queen mattresses (not stained) at the moment. You can arrange donation collection via the website www.communitycarecentreballarat.org.au

This Volunteering Victoria's National Volunteer Week we’re raising our hats to the incredible people who give their time, energy and heart to make our community stronger. ❤️

It starts with our very own volunteer Board of Directors, who help lead the community company behind Community Bank Buniyong and guide the impact we’re able to make locally.

And it stretches right across our community… through the 240+ clubs, groups, services and organisations we've support through our Community Investment Program that are powered by dedicated volunteers who turn up, pitch in and keep good things happening. 🙌

From committee meetings to sausage sizzles, coaching kids, caring for others, organising events and keeping local groups alive, your contribution matters more than words can say.

Hats off to every volunteer including those at the Community Care Centre Ballarat (pictured).

Each year, every member of our Community Bank branch team directs a donation to a cause close to their heart through our Community Investment Program.

For Lea, a lifelong horse lover with strong rural ties, that choice was Horse Shepherd Equine Sanctuary in Gordon. ❤️

The sanctuary rescues, rehabilitates and, wherever possible, rehomes horses in need, while also caring for a whole range of other animals along the way.

Come with us as Lea visits the sanctuary and shares why this donation meant so much.
