This morning at BNI Referral Leaders Bunbury, we had the pleasure of hearing from Helen Povey - LJ Ho**er South West WA, who shared her wealth of knowledge – and passion – for all things strata.

Helen took us on a journey from her personal “why” – family, resilience after health challenges, and a drive for lifelong learning – through to the nuts and bolts of strata ownership, governance, and disclosure.

This week we heard from Kshamala Jenkins from Accounting South West WA, and her presentation showed us that good accounting is about a lot more than lodging a tax return.

Kshamala spoke about the importance of really understanding the financial health of your business.

💰 Profit tells you how you performed.
📊 Your balance sheet tells you how strong you are.
💵 Cash flow determines whether you can pay the bills.

She also walked us through some of the government and tax changes coming for Australian businesses and investors, reinforcing just how important it is to stay ahead of changes rather than react to them later.

With almost a decade in public practice accounting, an MBA and significant management experience, Kshamala brings plenty of knowledge to the table.

Through Accounting South West WA, she assists with business advisory, company and trust setups, tax compliance, BAS, Xero & MYOB support and individual tax guidance.

And after only 12 months in business, Accounting South West WA has already grown exponentially. 👏
