⚠️ SEVERE WEATHER WARNING ⚠️
A significant storm system is heading our way from Saturday evening through Monday, and our community should prepare now.

The Bureau of Meteorology has advised these conditions are only seen once every 3 to 5 years in our region.

This warning extends across much of the South West Land Division and beyond – from Geraldton and Kalbarri in the north, through Perth, Bunbury, Margaret River and Albany, across to Esperance and inland to Merredin and Norseman.

What’s coming:
🌬️ Damaging to locally destructive wind gusts exceeding 125 km/h
🌧️ Heavy rainfall with potential flash flooding
⚡ Thunderstorms

Let’s look after each other:
💛 Check on your neighbours – especially those who are elderly, live alone, or may need a hand preparing
💛 Offer to help secure loose items for someone who can’t do it themselves
💛 Make sure family and friends have a plan and know what’s coming
💛 Keep an eye on your street and community once the storm passes

Prepare your property now:
✅ Secure loose items (outdoor furniture, trampolines, bins, shade sails)
✅ Park vehicles undercover and away from trees
✅ Clear gutters and drains
✅ Charge devices and have a torch ready

During the storm:
🚫 Stay indoors and away from windows
🚫 Avoid driving unless absolutely necessary
🚫 Never go near fallen power lines, floodwater or damaged structures

❄️Local freshly made hot soup with a buttered bread roll sounds like the perfect meal to warm up this chilly weekend. 🌬️

We're not saying soup fixes everything. But our 100% Market Made Soup of the Day, served fresh from our cafe in a takeaway cup with a bread roll and butter, comes pretty close.

Made fresh in our kitchen and changing daily, it's the kind of thing that makes a cold morning considerably more manageable.

Worth stopping in for, we promise.
