Five years of marine claims trends can tell us a lot about how supply chain risk is changing.

Drawing on what our marine claims and risk engineering teams have seen across customer supply chains, here are some of the key shifts we’re seeing in marine and cargo risk:

🌏 Ongoing disruption is now part of the landscape.

🛡️ Businesses are rethinking resilience.

🚢 Longer sea journeys can increase cargo exposure.

🌧️ Water, humidity and temperature-control risks are showing up in claims.

🔒 Cargo theft is becoming more sophisticated.

Read more about these trends below. https://bit.ly/4txLOPp

From pandemic shocks to rerouted vessels and rising theft, NTI's marine claims data highlights the pressures on global trade and the strategies helping businesses respond.

Have you had a look at Ruby yet? ❤️

Our 2026 NTI MND raffle truck is a custom-built 1947 Chevrolet Maple Leaf, brought back to life with modern engineering and built to turn heads.

Powered by a Hino 4-litre turbo diesel engine and built on 2018 Hino 4x4 running gear, Ruby blends vintage character with modern performance.

She’s also part of something much bigger. This is the ninth truck we’ve raffled in support of the MND and ME Foundation, helping fund Motor Neurone Disease (MND) research here in Australia.

This truck could have been off the road for up to seven months. Instead, it was moving again in three weeks.

Working with our repair partner City Panelbeaters, we helped find another way forward, with a compatible replacement cab delivered within seven days and the truck back on the road much sooner.

Six months is a long time to have a truck off the road.

This NTI insured Mitsubishi Fuso needed a replacement cab, but sourcing one would have taken months.

So our team worked with City Panelbeaters to find another way forward.

The result? A wait cut down to just weeks, and a truck back on the road much sooner.

When an NTI insured Mitsubishi Fuso arrived at City Panel Beaters Truck Repairs Pty Ltd, one of our repair partners, its cabin had been badly crushed. The damage was serious enough that the cab needed to be replaced, but sourcing one would have taken months.

Rather than leave the truck waiting, our team worked closely with City Panelbeaters to find another way forward. With practical problem-solving, repair expertise and the right industry connections, they helped cut the wait down to just weeks and get the truck moving again much sooner.

See how it came together in the full story.

Where do the funds from our NTI MND raffles go?

Each year, funds raised through our raffle are directed to the NTI MND Research Grant, delivered in partnership with MND and ME Foundation.

That funding supports Motor Neurone Disease (MND) research here in Australia. In this video, we take a closer look at the work underway at The University of Queensland, where one of the recent grant recipients is based.

It’s part of a broader effort to better understand MND and progress potential treatments. Importantly, this funding gives researchers the certainty to focus on meaningful, large-scale projects that can make a real difference.

Since 2017, together with our community, we’ve raised more than $3 million to support this work. Every ticket purchased helps continue that impact 🤝
