Excavators behaving badly...these unfortunate incidents have been subject of recent claims and assessments carried out by Across Assessing.

Across Assessing recently assessed the vehicle from which this dash cam footage was captured. This video serves as a reminder of how quickly things can turn bad through no fault of your own. It also reinforces how reliant we are on other drivers doing the right thing in order for us to remain safe on the roads.
Fortunately there were no life threatening injuries as a result of this collision.

Unfortunately we see this situation all too often. Most heavy motor insurers acknowledge the inherent danger caused by tipping by doubling the applicable policy excess if a a vehicle is damaged whilst tipping. In our experience a rollover whilst tipping is generally as a result of tipping on uneven ground or load 'hang up'/uneven distribution of the load.
For this claim we engaged the services of Knight's Heavy Towing to quickly and safely recover the truck and trailer.

An expensive claim for the insurers of this Drake 7x8 Steerable. It is alleged a tyre fire caused destruction of the trailer and the CAT 657E motor scraper being transported. Across Assessing was appointed to assess the scraper.
