📢 The Reserve Bank has today left the official cash rate unchanged at 4.35%.

While today's decision comes as no surprise, it reinforces what we're seeing across the market: consumer and business sentiment remains notably subdued, and inflation remains above target.

Our view is that interest rates have likely peaked, with the next movement expected to be down rather than up.

Ongoing global uncertainty, coupled with the pressures stemming from a high-taxing Federal Budget, continue to weigh on confidence and economic activity.

For borrowers, today's hold provides stability. The focus now turns to when the RBA will have sufficient confidence to begin easing rates and supporting growth once again.
