Following the Reserve Bank of Australia’s decision to lower the cash rate to 3.85%, several major and smaller banks have reduced their home loan rates. The Big Four—Commonwealth Bank, Westpac, NAB, and ANZ—have all passed on the full 0.25% cut to their variable home loan customers. Additionally, lenders like Macquarie Bank, Suncorp, ING, AMP, and Athena Home Loans have also announced similar reductions.
This is great news for both current and prospective homeowners, as lower interest rates can lead to reduced monthly repayments and increased borrowing capacity.
