Pretty chuffed to have been recognised as Platinum Elite for 2025–26, and to have finished #18 in the Loan Market International Top 20 Individuals across Australia and New Zealand, at the Loan Market Awards in Christchurch last night.

The year started with some massive lending changes (especially around trust and company lending) and finished with some wild tax changes courtesy of good ol’ Albo — his word is his bond though… 🤦‍♂️

The goalposts will always move. Our job is to stay across it, adapt and find the best way through for our clients.

A massive thank you to our customers for continuing to trust my team and me with their lending — I’ll never take that for granted.

This is a little interview I did with ABC Sunshine Coast last month. The discussion was relating to Jim Chalmers suggestion for lenders to ignore HECS debt from lending applications.

Crux of it - I appreciate the sentiment of HECS debt impacting borrowing capacity should be reviewed…, But it can’t just be ‘ignored’…. Unless they’re also going to forgive the debt and not continue to charge interest on the debt?

It would be remiss to not do a post about the year that was 2024...

Firstly, a huge thank you to all of our customers for entrusting myself and my team with your lending requirements! It is not lost on me how much faith is required to complete the process of a loan application.

Secondly, thank you and congratulations to my amazing team! My team consists of Joanna Drueco (who has been with me for 4+ years), Nick Williams (2+ years), Cha Lim (2+ years), Jake Templeton (9 months). We also welcomed 2 very experienced and intelligent brokers to the team, with Alyse Bradley joining us in October, and Brooke Cahill in December. Thus, the team has doubled this year, so it's really GAME-ON for 2025!

Some key milestones:
- ~$150M in settlements, across 229 loan applications
- Named 56th in The Adviser Magazine list of top 100 Residential brokers nationally
- Finalist for Qld MFAA Awards for Best Customer Service and Young Professional of the year award
- Finalist for Qld Better Business Awards for best Customer Service (and again for 2025)
- Elite Broker status with LMG, and named in the top 250 brokers of the LMG Group
- Numerous testimonials and customer feedback results, that are extremely gratifying to read.

And of course, being a part Green Finance Group who cleaned up a plethora of major industry awards, including the top international business award of the Loan Market Group!

I am extremely grateful to all my customers and business owners who referred their friends, family and clients to me.
