🛑 Scam alert 🛑

We’re seeing an increase in reports of individuals impersonating BOQ staff, calling customers and requesting their one-time password to access their Internet Banking.

🚩 Red flags to look out for:

o Scammers have been known to typically call from private numbers or landlines that may impersonate genuine BOQ phone numbers.
o The scammer often emphasise urgency and allude to your account being compromised to pressure you to provide your personal information quickly.
o Scammers may seem knowledgeable and recite personal details that you have recently entered in an online form. Consider calls received soon after clicking online links or entering your phone number into online forms.
o Multiple calls from the same number claiming to be from different organisations or financial institutions.
