Term of the Week: Compound Interest 📈
Einstein reportedly called it the "Eighth Wonder of the World." He said: "He who understands it, earns it... he who doesn't... pays it."
What is it? Simple interest is calculated only on the principal amount. Compound interest is calculated on the principal plus the accumulated interest.
Think of it like a snowball rolling down a hill. ❄️
The Good News: If you start saving or investing early, your money grows faster the longer you leave it.
The Bad News: If you have unpaid credit card debt or tax debt, the interest compounds against you, making the debt grow terrifyingly fast.
The Lesson: Make sure compound interest is working for you, not against you, in 2026.
