If you're strapped for cash (and time), here's how to get things under control in 4 steps:

1️⃣ Make it easy for clients to pay you. Invoice immediately, set up payment links/direct debits. Position your bills to be the ones that clients "set and forget"

2️⃣ For the love of bookkeeping, please keep track of your bills. Knowing what you will be paying out and when is 🔑 in getting on top of things

3️⃣ Even though its scary, take an honest look at your outgoings. Reduce any unnecessary items (read: that software trial you forgot to cancel and never use). Negotiate or shop around on your fixed costs

4️⃣ Charge what you are actually worth. If you're consistently under-charging clients for whatever reason, we've gotta peel back some layers and look at what's going on there...

💯 Yes! You need to tell us about all of your income, including any cash-in-hand income.

It doesn't matter if your wages or tips are paid in cash, or you get cash from online gigs, you need to report it in your tax return.

I've heard bookkeeping be referred to all sorts of things, from "just data entry" to "mundane admin" and all the in-between

But if you still think thats what bookkeeping truly is, you're missing out on a valuable part of your business data

Strategic bookkeeping tells you what you can spend, where your cash is leaking, and how much profit is *really* landing in your pocket

The truth:
❌️ Its not a quarterly emergency repair
✅️ Its a weekly rhythm

❌️ Its not "just fixing the bank feed"
✅️ Its protecting your cash flow

❌️ Its not generating meaningless reports
✅️ Its using your business data to tell a story that makes sense

We've levelled up 🥹

I've been struggling to keep this to myself, but now its time to show the world 🌎
