I have been sponsoring and supporting this club in various formats since 2006, been through the very lean times and most recently through the good times. Success has come on the back of hard work over many, many years, culminating into the very last game of football in the Loddon Valley FNL for Marong. WIn or lose it will be bitter sweet. Long friendships and rivalries will be missed. A new chapter awaits in the BFNL. Good luck to the boys tomorrow in the Grand Final, to finish with a handful would be awesome. From little things, big things grow. Marong FNC is taking on a massive challenge entering a major league competition. The benefit to grow and provide a clear pathway for its juniors is paramount to longevity. It would be easy to keep the status quo. It takes courage and effort to take on this challenge. I wish them well and can't wait to it unfold of the coming years.

The BFNL can confirm that the Marong Football Netball Club have been approved to join the League commencing from the 2027 season.

The BFNL acknowledges and respects the appeal process that has taken place and thanks the AFL Central Victoria Region Council and Loddon Valley FNL Board for their time and work throughout the process.

The BFNL will continue to work closely with Marong FNC and relevant stakeholders throughout the remainder of 2026 to support the club's transition ahead of the 2027 season.
