📢 **RBA INTEREST RATE INCREASE – NOVEMBER 2026**

The Reserve Bank of Australia has increased the official cash rate by **0.25%, bringing it to 4.85%**.

This is the fifth rate increase in 2026 and takes the cash rate to its highest level since late 2008. Six voted to hike, three to hold.

🏡 **What does this mean for homeowners?**

If lenders pass on the full increase, the average new owner-occupier mortgage could cost approximately **$119 extra per month**.

For homeowners, this is a good time to review your existing home loan and make sure you're not paying more interest than necessary.

💡 **My advice:** Don't automatically accept your bank's new interest rate. There may be opportunities to negotiate a better deal or explore other lending options.
