🎉 Community Bank Boorowa Celebrates 25 Years - With $3.9 Million Returned to Boorowa and the Greater Area 🎉
This month marks 25 years since Community Bank Boorowa first opened its doors. Officially reaching the milestone on Tuesday 12 May 2026.
Over the past quarter century, nearly $4 million has been returned to Boorowa and the greater area through grants, sponsorships and scholarships, supporting local organisations, families and opportunities for young people.
To celebrate this milestone, the bank has awarded nine student scholarships in 2026, contributing a total of $45,000 to support local youth in pursuing their education and career aspirations. More than double the usual annual scholarship offering.
Chair Belinda Reid said the milestone reflects the power of a community backing itself.
“For 25 years, our branch has provided fantastic banking services while also giving back to the community and local people who are part of it,” Ms Reid said.
“Reaching nearly $4 million returned to the community is something we’re incredibly proud of because it represents real outcomes for local people.”
Branch Manager Darren Manton said the expanded scholarship program highlights the bank’s ongoing commitment to the future of the region.
“These young people represent the future of our community and we’re proud to play a part in their journey,” Mr Manton said.
Since opening, Community Bank Boorowa has operated on a simple principle. That banking can be a force for good, with profits reinvested back into the community to create lasting impact.
The bank also acknowledged the contribution of past and present directors, staff, volunteers and customers who have helped shape the branch over the past 25 years.
Thank you to everyone who has been part of the journey so far. Here’s to continuing to support a thriving future for Boorowa and the greater area 💙
