A Legacy Worth Celebrating ❤️

After 25 years, we’re taking a moment to officially thank and celebrate Greg Pryor, our inaugural Bank Manager of Community Bank Boorowa.

Greg played a pivotal role in establishing the foundations of our bank and building something that has gone on to have a lasting impact across Boorowa, Yass and the greater region.

While Greg stepped away from the bank in recent years to focus on his health, his contribution and legacy have remained very much a part of our story.

Over the past 25 years, Community Bank Boorowa has invested more than $3.9 million back into our local and greater community. Supporting the people, organisations, projects and dreams that make our region so special.

Greg can be incredibly proud of the part he played in building that legacy, one that with continued support will make a difference for generations to come.

So, from all of us at Community Bank Boorowa, thank you, Greg. Thank you for your leadership, your commitment and for helping create something that has grown into such an important part of our community.

Supporting a vision for Carinya Court 🏠

What started as a vision from the Carinya Court Committee has continued to grow and we’re proud to have been alongside them every step of the way.

From supporting refurbishments and improvements to the existing Carinya Court villas, to now supporting the Committee’s vision for two brand new two-bedroom villas, it’s been wonderful to see this project come to life.

In August 2025, we joined the Committee for the turning of the sod. Today, just 12 months later, the new villas are nearing completion. 🏡✨

It’s a great example of what can happen when a local committee has a vision for the future and the community gets behind it.

Community Bank Boorowa is proud to support the Carinya Court Committee and their ongoing commitment to creating better housing options for our community. ❤️

It’s a big weekend of footy for Boorowa! 🏉

The Boorowa Goldies are heading into their second consecutive home Grand Final, with the big dance taking place at the Boorowa Showground this Saturday! 💛

And the footy continues on Sunday, with the Rovers taking to the field for their must win game. 💚

From all of us at Community Bank Boorowa, we wish both teams the very best of luck this weekend. Whatever the result, you’ve already made your community incredibly proud.

To round out our 25th Community Bank Boorowa Anniversary Special Scholarship Program, we’re proud to introduce Emma Craig, one of our nine scholarship recipients.

Emma is one of those people who simply gets community. She puts her hand up, embraces every opportunity and gives plenty back along the way.

As last years School Captain at Boorowa Central School and a current player for our loved Roverettes, Emma has always been someone who gets involved and makes the most of the opportunities around her.

That sense of connection has stayed with her as she begins studying a Bachelor of Nursing at the University of Canberra.

Emma has also been fortunate enough to receive support through a number of grants along the way and we’re proud to now play a small part in helping her take the next step.

She’s exactly the kind of young person we’re proud to support. Someone who recognises the opportunities a community can provide and who is already giving back to that community in return. ❤️

Congratulations, Emma. We can’t wait to see where your nursing journey takes you! 👏💚

We’ve loved sharing a little of each student’s story with you. Normally supporting four students each year, this special anniversary program allowed us to support nine deserving local students and celebrate the incredible people and potential within our community.
