Shane Hryhorec was removed from a Virgin flight this week over his wheelchair motor. Humiliated in front of 200 people.

Here's our founder's story.

Elizabeth booked a wheelchair with Virgin Australia. They left her without one. Three years in a row. Melbourne. Denpasar.

Then they handed her a piece of paper and asked her to write down what was wrong with herself.

She said no.

"I have an invisible disability. You can't see it from the check in counter. That doesn't make it less real, and it doesn't make the wheelchair I booked optional."

We build SDA homes. We know what dignity looks like. It is not being asked to explain your disability at the check in counter.

One incident is a mistake. A pattern is a policy problem.

Virgin Australia, you have utterly let us down.

Wrapping up inspections today, and the feedback was consistent.

This home doesn’t feel clinical.
It feels like a luxury hotel.

That balance between functionality and comfort is what defines a well-executed SDA property.

There’s a clear difference between building something that feels like a facility… and creating a home where participants genuinely want to live.

This particular property already has two participants engaged, with the third currently being placed through an SDA provider a reflection of strong demand aligned with the right design and location.

Yes, these projects require significant investment.
