MoveUp2

MoveUp2 MoveUp2 is a shared equity solution to home affordability. It originated with the idea of parents sponsoring their children into a home.

It has evolved to a means for Divorcees to re-enter the market. MoveUp2 is a unique product which addresses housing affordability by solving the deposit gap for home purchases. Our approach is to help people to get into the residential market now and share some of the capital growth rather than wait to save a deposit and hope they can outpace the growth in the property market. MoveUp2 is available

for First Home Buyers and also for Divorcees looking getting back into home ownership. Our approach is called shared equity , an approach which has been used extensively in the United Kingdom and by various Australian state governments to address housing affordability. In essence through MoveUp2 a sponsor holds a shared equity interest in the property to increase the deposit to 20% and reduce the bank loan to 80% loan to value. MoveUp2 enables the sponsors investments to be separated from a particular property by recognising sponsors investment in a residential property trust registered with ASIC. The residential trust holds a national portfolio of shared equity investments and tenanted residential properties. Our "Invest and Nominate" means that the sponsor invests their money in the residential trust and as a result gets the opportunity to nominate a property to be added to the trusts as part of the shared equity portfolio. Any shared equity investment must meet minimum criteria for the property and the credit of the owner. The source of the sponsorship moneys is at the discretion of the sponsor. To date sponsors have invested personal savings, borrowings against other properties and superannuation. The so called bank of Mum and Dad (and the wider family) can invest and nominate their children to afford a home without having to provide guarantees or security. Divorcees commonly sponsor themselves by investing part of their superannuation in the trust and nominating themselves. Give us a call on +61 2 84040455 for more details. Encouraged that the NSW Government has endorsed shared equity as a housing affordability solution.
MoveUp2 shared equity already operates in all states and territories.
The State will no doubt keep the equity share but in Moveup2 we have a sponsor pool across all our properties which receives the equity share. Family, friend or even SMSF act as sponsors therefore benefit. www.yourhas.com.au/shared-equity-deals

We have many testimonies of first home buyers entering the market and divorcees re-entering the market.

In a novel strategy devised to address Sydney’s housing affordability crisis, first home buyers would get a contribution from the NSW government but hand over some equity in their property.

Pleased to announce a family has obtained MoveUp2 approval this week for a home for one of their children.
MoveUp2 is tried and tested. It is working today!!
In contrast it has been interesting to see the number of thought bubbles in the press on how to address housing affordability being put out there over the past month.
We have spent ten years developing and refining our MoveUp2 product. For the ideas in the press there is a long way to go before they can get to a working product and most won't make it.
